Two great photographers in a cultural dialogue. Under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Athens.

Giannis Giannelos and Cosmo Laera highlight the soul and authenticity of the Mediterranean islands through the indelible and characteristic "imprint" of man on the agricultural land.

In the incomparably beautiful photographs of Giannelos from Kythnos, the labor of building the "dry stone" that marks and determines the configuration of the Cycladic landscape, forming patterns and shapes of unique architectural value, takes shape, while Laera narrating rural landscapes of Southern Italy as a symbol of human of work and of trying to tame rough nature.

"I travel a lot.
Always taking pictures.
I know almost every stone in Greece.
I blend into the landscape, absorbing all its information.
Information I seek to include in my images.
I like to withdraw.
I like to dream.
With eyes always open..."
