Photography & video art exhibition featuring works by Maria Bourbou
With the support of the Ministry of Culture of Luxembourg and Kultur|lx, and under the auspices of the Embassy of Luxembourg in Athens

This year, kythniale introduces a new section featuring Greek and international artists who, inspired by Kythnos, have created visual art. It's an honour when individuals from different places are moved to create original cultural works during their time on the island. kythniale aims to spotlight these artists and connect them with the local community where their inspiration began.

In July 2025, Kythnos will host the photographic and video art works of Maria Bourbou, a Luxembourg-based artist.
During her summer stay, the island, as she says, “sneaked” into her heart. She captured timeless moments and emotions, offering a personal narrative filled with love and her unique artistic touch.

Artificial Intelligence in Our Lives: Promises, Challenges, and Concerns

Saturday, 6 September 2025 | Kythnos Town Hall
A scientific lecture by Professor Ioannis Kanellos, IMT Atlantique University

In just two years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has proven to be a revolutionary technology that will shape the future. For some, it’s a helpful tool in our digital lives, while for others, it signifies a profound shift in how we think, feel, and act. The fear that AI could replace or dominate humans is growing as its influence expands.

kythniale presents Prof. Ioannis Kanellos, who will discuss how AI is transforming the labour market and driving rapid economic and social changes. The concentration of wealth will increase, inequalities will grow, and social justice will be at risk. Politics and our views on humanity will also change significantly.

This lecture will delve into what AI means for daily life, its promises, challenges, and concerns.
