Mapping the "sources" of Thermian culture / Routes in Kythnos through digital cultural games
Kythnos: Game & Guided Tour is the title of the new action by Kythniale - Bridges of Culture. It features the creation of interactive tours in the settlements of Chora, Dryopida, and Loutra on Kythnos, using the innovative Narratologies application.
The interactive routes were designed using Augmented and Mixed Reality to highlight the cultural heritage of Kythnos, delving into the history of the settlements of Chora, Dryopida, and Loutra. Accessing the app is easy; users simply need to scan the QR code available at various locations and local businesses on the island from the beginning of this year's tourist season.
This initiative, which was implemented under the auspices and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, is expected to provide multiple benefits for Kythnos. It aims to engage and activate the local community, offer visitors an immersive experience of the island's culture, create a digital repository of its cultural heritage, and provide opportunities for sustainable tourism, all while strengthening the cohesion of the local community.
